At Kings Oak Primary, we committed to creating a calm, safe and purposeful environment where every child can thrive. We are currently consulting on updates to our behaviour approach, in line with the Waterton Academy Trust Behaviour Policy.
Our approach is rooted in our core values. We expect all members of our school community to be:
- READY – prepared to learn and engage
- RESPECTFUL – showing kindness, consideration and good manners
- SAFE – making positive choices that keep everyone secure
A Graduated Response to Behaviour
We recognise that children need clear boundaries, consistency and support to make the right choices. We have created a graduated response system which helps pupils understand expectations and take responsibility for their behaviour.

Supporting Positive Behaviour
While this system provides clear consequences, our main focus is on promoting and recognising positive behaviour. Pupils are encouraged and praised for being READY, RESPECTFUL an SAFE in all areas of school life.
Working Together
We work closely with parents and carers to ensure a consistent approach. Communication will take place where needed so that we can support every child to succeed.
Consultation and Parent Feedback
We are currently consulting with Parents and Carers on our updated behaviour approach.
The consultation period will run from 27 March to 17 April. During this time, we welcome your views to help us ensure our approach reflects the needs of our whole school community.
We invite all parents and carers to complete a short survey to share their feedback.
Please use the link below to access the survey:
Your views are important to us and will help shape how we implement our behaviour policy moving forward.
