“My name is Rebecca Harrison and I am SEND Parent Carer who lives in Barnsley who has set up a SEND Parent Carer group called KindRoots. We meet once a month in Barnsley Library (The LightBox) and will also be putting on meals and crafting sessions. Along with group meetings with professionals such as PDA Specialists and Sensory Occupational Therapists to support SEND parents and carers in the borough completely free of charge.
I have also taken on a large allotment in Barnsley called The Education Patch which when completed. I am hoping to support SEND children with learning how to plant fruit and vegetables, learn about wildlife, create bug hotels, composting and womerys and so much more”.
